What was that again, Lieutenant? “You can’t trust even some of their soldiers or officers”? And let’s see — the “Afghan army” proposed this mission in the first place? And then “villagers” fired on the Afghan forces with their American trainers? Sounds like a good day for the Taliban — an American-led rout that will make any Afghan considering cooperating with the US think twice or thrice….This is no way we should fight a war. Nor is this the kind of war we should fight.
