Flush To Judgment?

Twenty-three year old Stanislav Shmulevich
awaits arraignment on hate crime
charges
for "criminal
mischief and aggravated harassment," accused of having hurled Korans into
toilets at
Pace University‘s
Manhattan campus, 10
months ago. This past October 13, according to police, a teacher discovered a
paperback Koran in a second-floor bathroom toilet, while on November 21, a
student found another submerged Koran in the same bathroom.

The now disproven  Guantanamo Bay Koran flushing incident of
May, 2005—reported errantly by Michael Isikoff, a veteran Newsweek
journalist?was a distressingly stupid spectacle, accompanied by a tragic
outcome—
the loss of human life. Rioting which originated in
Afghanistan,
spread throughout much of the Muslim world, from
Gaza to
Indonesia.
Rancorous Muslim
mobs
shouting "Protect our Holy Book!" burned down government buildings and
ransacked the offices of relief organizations in several Afghan provinces. This
senseless violence caused at least 15 deaths, and injured scores of others.

(Jews) Under Turkish Rule, Part I

By Andrew G. Bostom

FrontPageMagazine.com | 7/27/2007

Frontpagemag.com
presents part one of a two part series.  We will publish the conclusion
of "Under Turkish Rule" in next weekend’s edition August 3-5. –The
Editors.

Summary

Ignorance about
the plight of Jews under Turkish rule—past, including Ottoman
Palestine, and present—is profound. In lieu of serious, critical
examination one finds whitewashed apologetics concocted to promote
dubious geo-political strategies—even the morally bankrupt denial of
the
Armenian genocide, as promoted, shamefully, by public intellectuals and major US Jewish organizations
who abet the exploitation of their co-religionist Turkish Jews as dhmmi "lobbyists" for the government of Turkey. These strategies have "succeeded", perversely, in further isolating Jews, while failing,
abysmally, to alter a virulently Antisemitic Turkish religious (i.e.,
Islamic), and secular culture—the latter perhaps best exemplified by
the wildly popular, and most expensive film ever made in Turkey, "
Valley of the Wolves"
(released February, 2006) which features an American Jewish doctor
dismembering Iraqis brutally murdered by American soldiers in order to
harvest their organs for Jewish markets.
Prime Minister Erdogan not only failed to condemn the film, he justified its production and popularity.

Recognition for the Silent Jewish Refugees

July 19, 2007

American Thinker

By Andrew G. Bostom

The bicameral Congressional Human Rights Caucus (CHRC) will hold a landmark hearing on Thursday July 19th regarding
the hundreds of thousands of Jews forced to flee their communities in
the Arab Muslim nations as a result of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Oriental Jews suffered profound violations of their basic human rights
under the Islamic regimes throughout North Africa, the Middle East and
the Gulf Region. This persecution — including pogroms and
expropriations — caused their subsequent flight despite longtime
residences in these countries.  The Congressional Human Rights Caucus,
under the auspices of its Chairman, Congressman Tom Lantos, will hear
testimony from legal experts on the rights of Jewish refugees from Arab
countries as well as from "living witnesses’" — Oriental Jews who will
testify as to their plight in, and flight from, the Arab countries
where they were born.

The July 19, 2007 congressional
hearing on Jewish refugees has an immediate, practical goal of
providing US legislators with preliminary information before voting on House Resolution 185 and Senate Resolution 85.
Under the proposed legislation, the US president would be required to
instruct all official representatives of the United States that
"explicit reference to Palestinian refugees be matched by a similar
explicit reference to Jewish and other refugees, as a matter of law and
equity." The historical legacy of this mass Jewish exodus elucidates
the bare minimum equity provided in these resolutions.
